Paul is the Director of Harbor View Advisors. He also manages Harbor View’s attest engagements. He is active in overseeing the various accounting assistance projects of the Firm. His experience includes working with both large and small organizations in a variety of industries including mortgage lending, physician associations, nonprofits, equity funds, construction, and employee benefit plans. Paul grew up in the Inland Empire and has over 16 years of experience in public accounting. Paul graduated from California State University, Fullerton earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. He enjoys spending time with his wife, his four adult children, the family pup, and their ragdoll cat.

Paul is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Steve has spent 30+ years as a CPA, the majority of those as a partner. Along with wife, Bernie, he founded O&A which has transitioned into Harbor View Advisors. Steve obtained his accounting degree from Cal State Fullerton, followed by his CPA license and Masters in Taxation. Steve has spent a great deal of his career helping small to mid-size businesses and their ownership, but he enjoys all challenges of accounting and tax. When not working, Steve enjoys time with family and friends, as well as anything that keeps him active.

Bernie, along with Husband Steve, was a founding partner of O&A which after 18 years, transitioned into Harbor View Advisors. Bernie attended Michigan State University (Go Spartans) and spent her formable years as a Michigander. She was responsible for building the entire back office and infrastructure for O&A and has always taken great pride in the quality of team members and services our firm provides. When away from work, Bernie enjoys many passions – two of which are family (especially grandson Byron) and anything Detroit or Michigan. If you want to find Bernie on a Sunday in the fall, she’ll be front and center watching the Lions.

Linda has over forty years of experience in public accounting, including eight years with Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Services and thirty-three years as the owner of Platform Business Advisors. She has extensive experience with a variety of privately held and start-up companies, including private equity, technology, real estate, manufacturing, research, and service businesses.

Linda received her MBA (Accounting/Finance) and BA (Economics) from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Manny is a Senior Tax Manager at Harbor View, where he oversees the firm’s tax engagements and delivers tax-efficient strategies to clients. With nearly a decade of experience, he provides tax compliance, planning, and consulting to small to mid-sized businesses and high-net-worth individuals.

Manny’s experience spans a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, professional services, restaurants, technology, construction, and real estate.

Before joining Harbor View, Manny gained valuable experience at a national firm and Internal Revenue Service. He also spent over seven years at one of Orange County’s largest local CPA firms, where he advanced to the role of Tax Director.
Outside of work, Manny enjoys traveling, fitness activities, and discovering new coffee shops. He is an avid runner and regularly trains for marathons.

Michael brings over twenty years of comprehensive private accounting experience across diverse industries, including eight years in home building, eleven years in freight forwarding, and three years in fintech. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership as a Controller, successfully managing accounting teams while overseeing critical functions including corporate tax reviews, financial audits, comprehensive financial reporting, payroll administration, and multi-state payroll and tax compliance.

A Certified Public Accountant, Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania and his MBA from the University of the People. He joined the Platform Business Advisors team in August 2022, bringing his proven track record of financial excellence and operational leadership to serve our clients.

Amy has seventeen years of experience in public accounting and seven years of experience in private accounting. Amy is versed in individual income taxes, corporate income taxes with complex structures such as those for multi-states, and international companies. Amy also has knowledge about payroll taxes, sales taxes, property taxes and local business taxes. Amy has worked with many clients representing them to government agencies as a POA to solve their tax issue. She is also experienced in corporate accounting and financial reporting.

Amy received her Certificate of Award Accounting at University of California, Los Angeles, and her BA in Business Administration from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. She is a CPA, a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

Catarina is the Senior Tax Manager who manages Harbor View’s tax engagements. She has over 15 years of experience working in public accounting in the US and over 10 years of experience working in multinational corporations in South Korea. Her specialty is small to mid-size businesses and their ownership accounting, taxation and consulting optimizing financial performance including ensuring that businesses comply with tax law and regulations.

Carol is an audit manager at Harbor View Advisors and works on a variety of engagements including audits, compilations, and accounting services. Her experience includes working with companies and individuals in the mortgage industry, managed services organizations, medical groups, and professional services. Carol graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She is an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Barbara is a licensed CPA and has provided accounting and auditing services in both public accounting and private industry for over thirty years. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. When not providing professional services, Barbara enjoys playing golf with friends and family and participating in Pilates classes several times per week.

Jennifer is a Tax Manager at Harbor View Advisors, specializing in tax compliance, planning, and return preparation for small to mid-size business. She has several years of experience in public accounting, including five years at one of Orange County’s largest CPA firm, where she advanced to a Tax Manager. Prior to joining Harbor View, Jennifer also served as an Internal Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, where she examined complex corporate tax returns and gained valuable insight into federal compliance processes.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys cooking and experiencing with new recipes, as well as reading fantasy and romance novels in her free time.

Stacy is a Business Advisory Manager with over eight years of experience in public accounting, including five years at a top 25 accounting firm. She is experienced in outsourced controlling, financial statement preparation, audit readiness, sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax. Stacy holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for academic excellence. She is currently preparing to sit for the CPA exam in the first quarter of 2026. A Certified Public Accountant, Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania and his MBA from the University of the People. He joined the Platform Business Advisors team in August 2022, bringing his proven track record of financial excellence and operational leadership to serve our clients.

With over 17 years of experience in the public accounting and banking, TJ is a seasoned accountant specializing in Audit & Accounting. He has successfully executed numerous A&A and tax projects, and consistently delivers high-quality projects on time and within budget, earning the trust and satisfaction of clients and team members. TJ holds an MBA in Finance and BS in Engineering and is a Certified Public Accountant (California). Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, exercising, and mentoring young professionals interested in pursuing a career in accounting and finance.

Minh is a native Vietnamese having graduated from the University of Oregon with a Master Degree of Accounting. She has been licensed by the Oregon State Boad of Public Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant since 2013. Minh began her career in public accounting at a small public accounting firm in Portland, Oregon. She has been and enjoys working in real estate and pension benefit plan audit. Minh spends most of her free time with her husband while watching the activities of their twin daughters.

Bart began his career over 40 years ago in public accounting, working in the Dallas, Texas, office of Grant Thornton LLP, an international accounting firm. A few years later, he had the opportunity to move back home to northeastern Utah, to own his own firm where the focus was on helping small to mid-sized business owners with their tax and accounting needs. A few years ago, Bart sold his firm and appreciates the opportunity to share this knowledge and experience with Platform Advisors. Bart received his MBA from Western Governors University and BS (Finance and Accounting) from Brigham Young University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Utah Association of CPAs. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys cooking and experiencing with new recipes, as well as reading fantasy and romance novels in her free time.

Scott is a Certified Public Accountant with over 10 years of experience working in public accounting, with a heavy focus in taxation. He received a BA in Marketing and Management from California State University Long Beach. Scott is married and has 2 kids. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the beach, camping, traveling, and spending time with the family.

Richard brings over seven years of experience in public accounting, with a primary focus on tax services. He is dedicated to providing clients with accurate, reliable, and detail-oriented support in navigating complex tax matters. He is currently pursuing further education in accounting to continue expanding his technical expertise and professional qualifications.

In addition to his professional accounting work, Richard is an accomplished educator, composer, and musician. He holds both a Master of Fine Arts in Multi-Focus Guitar Performance and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Arts Performance from the California Institute of the Arts.

Jacob is a seasoned accounting professional. He graduated Cum Laude from California State University Bakersfield with a degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting. While his main focus is in the area of tax compliance and planning, he also has experience in the areas of financial audits and bookkeeping. He is passionate about working with business leaders to help them understand complex tax and accounting matters. In his free time, Jacob enjoys many outdoor activities including snowboarding and mountain biking. Additionally, he is an avid reader with a particular interest in science fiction novels.

Gustavo joined Platform Advisors five and a half years ago. During his first four years, he was involved in business accounting and tax preparation and became an accounting manager overseeing the bookkeeping of more than 30 clients.

A year and a half ago, he moved to the tax side to work exclusively on preparing complex business tax returns under the title of Senior Tax Advisor. His previous work experience includes six years in private accounting, primarily in the service and commercial real estate industries.

He graduated from California Lutheran University with a degree in Business Management and completed an accounting program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he received a Certificate in Accounting. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant in California.

Jon has over ten years of accounting experience and provides corporate accounting services for our clients. He is a Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Desktop and has an AA

Marlena has over fifteen years of experience in financial management and bookkeeping for non-profit organizations. She has over eight years of experience in public accounting and currently provides corporate accounting services at Platform Advisors – Encino office.

Marlena received her BS in Computer Science from National Polytechnic University of Armenia, an AA in Accounting and an AA in Economics from Los Angeles Valley College. She is a Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.

Giovanni, equipped with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from CSULB and three years of valuable experience, is currently CPA eligible, underlining his unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in accounting. Beyond the professional realm, Giovanni finds joy in outdoor adventures, particularly hiking and shares his enthusiasm for culinary exploration by discovering new restaurants with friends. His academic achievement, hands-on experience, and social spirit make Giovanni a well-rounded individual, contributing to the continuing growth of Harbor View Advisors.

Lisha Ma graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting. She moved to California in 2016. After graduating, Lisha has been working as an audit associate at a Big 4 accounting firm before Harbor View Advisors/ Platform Accounting Group. Lisha’s favorite color is orange. During her free time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, hiking and spending her time with family.

Julia is a Tax Advisor at Harbor View Advisors, dedicated to providing reliable and effective support. A graduate of California State University, Long Beach, and CPA eligible, Julia aims to provide accurate and compliant tax return preparation for individuals and businesses. Outside of work, Julia enjoys watching movies, going to the beach, and exploring new food.

Alejandro is a Tax Advisor, dedicated to delivering reliable client support and accurate tax returns. He graduated from UC Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Accounting. He is currently pursuing his CPA license. Outside of work, he enjoy hiking, traveling, watching TV series, and trying new matcha shops.

Renee has 13+ years of experience in bookkeeping for small to mid-sized businesses across various industries. As a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, she excels in streamlining financial workflows, managing day-to-day transactions, and delivering accurate, timely reporting. Renee joined Platform Business Advisors at the beginning of 2023. She studied at Illinois State University and is known for her approachable & collaborative style.

Ilse has four years of experience working for an accounting firm, holding positions as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, and tax preparer. Ilse has an AA in Business from College of the Canyons and a BS in Business Accounting with a minor in Marketing from Cal Poly Pomona.

Lisa has over twenty years of experience working in public accounting. Lisa received her BS (Business Administration/Finance) from California State University, Northridge.

Misty started as a temp to hire at Bjorklund & Montplaisir (B&M) in 2000 and has been an important part of the backbone of the company since then. With B&M merging with Iron Creek Tax and Platform CPA in 2023, she continues to support the firm in various departments and is the main contact point for most of the audit work performed. Misty graduated from Business Computer Training Institute in 1996 at the top of her class and worked for the local car giant, Lanphere Auto Group, before finding to B&M. In her spare time, you can find Misty dancing to Latin music, hanging out with friends and family, or watching the Saints play football on Sundays (Geaux Saints!).

In her professional life, Linda Irving is a seasoned bookkeeping professional with over 10 years of valuable experience, she embarked on her career journey with a focus on gaining comprehensive knowledge of tax preparation, starting from the grassroots level, as an integral part of Olmsted and Associates. Linda earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Cal State Dominquez Hills, and also a master’s degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. In her spare time, she prioritizes quality moments with family and friends, exploring new destinations and cuisines through her love for travel and culinary adventures. An avid reader, Linda indulges in murder mystery and law theme novels or in old tv shows like Columbo, Murder, She Wrote and McMillian and Wife.
